- The mUzima settings activity can be accessed by clicking on the hamburger icon at the top left corner of the Home menu activity.
- Upon clicking on the hamburger icon, a navigation drawer will be displayed.
- Click on Settings to access the settings functions that are divided into sections namely; OpenMRS Settings, mUzima Settings and Provider/Location Settings
OpenMRS Settings.
- You can change your OpenMRS server URL and point the application to another instance under this section.
- See the documentation under Using The Core Module QR Code To Switch Between Instances.
mUzima Settings.
Session timeout.
- This setting is used to set in-minutes the time allowed for the application to be idle before the application auto-logout.
- The default session time out is 5 minutes.
- Click on the setting and type the time and click OK.
- The session timeout will be changed to the new minutes.
Automatic form save interval.
- This setting stipulates in minutes the time an automatic form save will be performed for your forms.
- Click on automatic form interval(mins).
- Type in the type and click OK
- The interval will be changed to the new time.
Real time sync.
- When toggled-on, this setting will enable real-time synchronization of data between the mUzima application and your OpenMRS instance.
Require medical record number.
- This setting ensures that a medical record number is provided when registering the client.
- The setting is toggled-on by default.
Duplicate form data warning.
- This setting warns the user if duplicate form data for the same client with the same encounter data is about to be saved.
- The setting is toggled-on by default.
Font size
- This setting is used to customize the font size to be used when displaying forms.
- The default font size is medium.
- Click on the setting and change it to large or small by clicking on the respective radio button.
Enable Day Mode.
- This setting is used to toggle between light theme and dark theme.
- The dark theme is the default theme for the App.
- The light theme can be enabled by toggle-on.
The App theme will be changed to daylight.
Enable SHR.
- This setting enables the use of the smartcard feature under the client summary activity.
- The setting can be toggled On or Off.
Enable GPS.
- This setting enables GPS data collection feature for setting client location under the client summary.
- The setting can be toggled On or Off.
Language
- This setting is used to change the language of the App.
- Click on the setting and click on a radio button
Provider/Location Settings.
These settings are used to pre-configure the provider and encounter location for the mUzima forms.
Default encounter provider.
- When toggled on, this setting will designate the logged in user as the default encounter provider.
Manage Providers
- This setting is used to get more providers from your OpenMRS instance.
- Click on the setting
- Search for the provider and click on the name.
- The provider will be added to the App.
- You can also remove providers from the App using the setting.
- To remove a provider, click on the provider, the provider will be highlighted in blue, click on the trash icon at the top right corner for deletion.
Default Encounter Location
- This setting is used for designating a default encounter location when there are several locations in a setup configuration.
- To set default encounter locations for your forms, click on the setting.
- Click on a radio button for the respective encounter location.
Manage Location
- This setting is used to get more locations from the OpenMRS instance.
- The setting can also be used to remove location(s) from the device.
- Click on the setting.
Enter the location name to automatically retrieve it from the OpenMRS instance.
- Click on the location to add it to the device.
- The location will be listed on the device.
- To remove a location, click on the location, the location will be highlighted in blue, click on the trash icon at the top right corner for deletion.
Manage concepts
- This setting is used to get more concepts from your OpenMRS instance.
- Search a concept in the search concept text field.
- Click on the concept to add it to the device.
- The concept can also be removed from the device.
- To remove a concept, click on the concept, the concept will be highlighted in blue, click on the trash icon at the top right corner for deletion.
