Overview.

The geo-mapping setting is downloaded on mUzima 3.x as part of a program as previously illustrated in this documentation. The terms and conditions for the usage of the geo-location feature are captured under the  terms and policy of mUzima use.

 Giving mUzima Location Permissions.

  • mUzima will require you to give permission to access the current device location in order to use the geolocation feature.
  • mUzima will require internet connectivity to use the geolocation feature.

mUzima permission

  • Login to mUzima and click on the location icon.
  • The current device location will be displayed due to the permissions granted.

  • The current device location will be displaced due to the permissions granted.

  • The default device location is displayed if the mUzima is not granted permissions to access device location.

Setting Up A Client Location.

  • Click on a client under the client list in the home page.

Select client

  • The client summary will be launched.

  • Click on the geo-location icon.

  • Click OK on the dialogue box to set the client location.

  • Use the location icon to set the client's location on the map page.

  • Click on the USE SELECTED LOCATION button to set the location.

  • The selected location will be set for the client.

  • Click on the back navigation button to navigate to the client summary..
  • The client summary will be displayed.
  • Click on the home icon to navigate to the home page.

  • Click on the sync icon under the homepage to sync the client location to your OpenMRS instance.
  • The sync service will be executed successfully.

Get Directions

Healthcare workers can navigate to a client's home using the get directions button. The geo-location feature utilizes Google maps to obtain the best route to a client's home.

  • Click on the client whose location has been set up.

  • Click on the GET DIRECTION button to get the best route to the client's location.

  • Google Maps will obtain the best route to the client's home.

Get direction

  • Click Start to navigate to the client's home.

  • Google Maps navigation service will be launched to guide you to the location.

Update Client Location

A client location can be edited and set to a new location.

  • Click on the client under the client list.

  • Click on the location icon under the client summary.

  • Click on the pencil icon on the top right corner.

Edit location

  • Click OK on the pop-up dialogue.

Update client location

  • Set the new address by dragging the location cursor icon on the map page.
  • Click on the USE SELECTED LOCATION button to set the location.

  • Sync the location
  • The new location will be set.
